Kay Rosen AKAK 2009
A comprehensive catalogue of works by artist Kay Rosen, encompassing nearly forty years of production. Known for her high level of conceptual thinking and structure in her artworks, Rosen has categorized the over 100 pieces in the book, dating from 1969 through 2009, according to six strategies: COLOR, SOUND, ANTI-GRAMMAR, LETTERS, SYSTEMS AND PATTERNS, and GRAPHICS. The works are presented alphabetically (according to the text featured in each work), with each plate coded by the strategy employed in the piece. The book thus functions as a grid, intersecting these two organizational approaches, exploring gray areas, slippages and overlaps between systems.
